Eric Ritzert, Ed.D. - Karns City Area School District Superintendent

Dr. Eric Ritzert has served as the Superintendent of Schools for the Karns City Area School District since July 1, 2011. Immediately prior to this role, he held the position of Assistant to the Superintendent within the Karns City Area School District for a year and a half. In addition to these roles, he previously served as an elementary school principal within the Armstrong School District and a chemistry teacher within the Karns City Area School District.

Dr. Ritzert earned a Doctor of Education degree from the California University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Education from Westminster College, and a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Clarion University. He resides in Chicora with his wife and three daughters.
