PSERS Eligible

The Karns City Area School District will also accept substitute teacher candidates who meet the eligibility requirements of Act 85 of 2016 (also known as the Prospective Substitute Teacher Program) in Pennsylvania, aimed to address the substitute teacher shortage by allowing individuals enrolled in approved teacher preparation programs to serve as substitute teachers. Candidates should provide confirmation from their college or university of eligibility.
