KC Cyber
The KC Cyber program is an online collaboration with the Seneca Valley School District. Students in grades K-12 are eligible to register for KC Cyber by calling their respective school. Although the District believes that the best place for students to learn is within the classroom, there are some students who learn best in an alternative environment, like a cyber school. In an effort to maintain educational consistency, students who register for KC Cyber will be required to commit to at least an 18-week enrollment period before returning to their respective building, should they choose to do so. If your circumstances do not permit this 18-week enrollment period, please call your respective building to discuss your situation with a building principal, who will be more than happy to help you and your child(ren) identify a viable solution.
KC Cyber, in partnership with Seneca Valley, uses the Edgenuity online learning platform. This video-based cyber program is divided into two categories: students in grades K-4 will learn through Edgenuity's Compass Learning Odyssey program. Students in grades 5-12 will learn through the Edgenuity program. Both groups of students will have access to live teachers throughout the day, in addition to live teachers in the evening, who will host open office hours for additional educational support.
If you choose to register for KC Cyber, please know that you are a part of this District, and you are encouraged to contact your respective building for assistance.
Lastly, as students are registered and their accounts are activated, they should check their school-issued Gmail accounts daily for announcements from their cyber teacher(s).
